The KVH Team 

Allow us to introduce ourselves: we are Richard and Samantha Loubser, and we’re thrilled to be taking ownership of Kamberg Valley Hideaway from 1 December 2020.

Richard, a qualified chef and the former owner of a well-known Joburg catering company, will be handling the day-to-day running of the resort. He’ll be drawing on his many years in the hospitality industry to find creative ways to enhance our guests’ experiences.

In addition to handling the admin and marketing side of the business, Samantha will be running her established architectural practice, Strut Architects, from Kamberg. She hopes to pick up additional architectural projects in the Midlands and surrounding areas.

We are pleased to announce that groundskeeper, Henry, and housekeeper, Zinny, will be staying on at the property. Both have been valued members of the Kamberg Valley Hideaway team since 2014, so you can look forward to seeing some familiar faces upon your arrival.

We have exciting things planned for Kamberg in the next few years and will keep you updated as these projects progress. We welcome your suggestions in this regard and would be delighted to taking your bookings for 2021.

Pet friendly 

We are dog lovers and would like you to enjoy your stay with your fur babies. We have travelled extensively with our two Dogs and we are excited to be able to offer this experience to our guests. 

Catered dinner in your cottage 

Having a chef on the property has some benefits. If you are planning on a stay for a special occasion and would like a catered dinner, we can assist with this. Please request this when making your booking so we can advise on some menu options ahead of time. We would need 5 days notice to be able to put this together professionally. 

Small Weddings 

Rich has experience with large scale weddings at some of the top venues in Johannesburg. If you would be interested in a small 'Midlands' wedding on the property we could put a package together for your dream day. 

Cakes, Breads, Cheese and Cold Meats 

We would like to offer some of the local produce to our guests. Rich makes an amazing baked cheese cake and this can be arranged for your stay. We have also recently started making sour dough bread, we can now offer a freshly baked loaf to be delivered to your cottage. 

Our Neighbours, Long Shadow Cheese have some amazing products - please advise if you would like to order these and we can arrange to get you the price list. 

We also have access to eggs and cold meats, charcuterie from the neighbouring farms..... yip it doesn't get any better than a cheese and meat platter for lunch.
